Drainage Class

Soil classification describing the frequency and duration of wet periods. There are seven natural drainage classes, ranging from "excessively drained" to "very poorly drained." Soils that drain poorly, or too rapidly, are unsuitable for on-site wastewater disposal without special engineering. <
