Hydraulic Load

The volume of wastewater (gallons per day) that enters the OWTS as a result of household activities. Can also refer to the volume of water (storm water, roof run-off) that drains onto the drainfield, typically as a result of improper siting. Hydraulic load is a critical determinant of a OWTS longevity and proper function; chronic Hydraulic Overloading can result in system failure. <
