Liquid Effluent

The clearish liquid that forms the middle layer of the septic tank, clear zone, after heavier solids (sludge) and buoyant waste (scum) have separated out. When new wastewater enters the septic tank, a portion of the effluent is forced out of the tank and through the distribution line either to advanced treatment or final treatment and dispersal. <
