Effluent Filter

A filter placed at the outlet of the septic tank to trap suspended solids that are not heavy enough or have had insufficient time to settle to the bottom of the tank. Effluent filters must be periodically cleaned (e.g., during routine maintenance inspections) so that they do not clog and back wastewater into the house. An alarm is recommended with the installation of an effluent filter. <
