Standard System

A standard onsite wastewater treatment system is a septic tank and subsurface gravity dispersal drainfield, seepage pit, or bed. A standard system may include a disposal drainfield located at a higher elevation than the associated septic tank if the pump system which transports effluent from the septic tank to the gravity flow drainfield is equipped with an alarm that warns the system operator of malfunctions that may occur. <
